Our Expertise

The Ear, Nose and Throat specialty has dramatically evolved from a generalized office practice into a diverse, highly-specialized field currently known as Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Our name encompasses the diagnosis as well as medical and surgical treatment of conditions found in the head and neck area in both children and adults.

These include:

General Otolaryngology

Infections of the throat, tonsils and adenoids; middle and outer ear; fluid in the ear (otitis media with effusion); ear wax and foreign bodies; snoring and sleep apnea.

Allergies and Allergic Disease

Many head and neck symptoms such as nasal congestion, itchy eyes, sinusitis, post-nasal drainage, rash, and hoarseness can be manifestations of allergic disease.  Allergy is your body’s reaction to something in its environment.

Facial Plastic Surgery

Reconstruction after trauma as well as cosmetic facial surgery. This includes rhinoplasty (cosmetic reconstruction of the nose,) otoplasty (correction of protruding ears), blepharoplasty (eyelids), face and brow lifts, scar revisions, and treatment of nasal and facial fractures.

Head and Neck Surgery

Malignant and benign tumors, as well as congenital cysts, in the head and neck areas including: the nose and nasal cavities, lips, mouth, tongue, throat, larynx, salivary glands, lymph nodes, and thyroid gland.

Laryngology

Benign and malignant conditions of the vocal cords which may result in: hoarseness, speech and singing disorders, or swallowing or breathing difficulties.

Laser Surgery for Snoring -
Laser-Assisted Uvulopalatoplasty (LAUP)

LAUP is an office procedure performed in stages under local anesthesia that is successful in reducing snoring. Patients are able to return to work the same day. Hospital and anesthesia fees are therefore avoided for this procedure which, like all treatments for snoring, is rarely covered by insurance.

Otology & Neuro-otology

Complex ailments involving the ear including: hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing in the ear), dizziness and balance disorders, perforations of the ear drum, and recurrent or chronic ear infections.

Pillar Procedure

More than 40 million Americans suffer from sleep disordered breathing, which can lead to major health problems like heart disease, high blood pressure or stroke. Now there’s a simple, effective treatment.

Rhinology

Nasal and sinus disorders including: deviated septum; nasal obstruction; acute and chronic sinus infections; sinus headaches; nasal polyps and allergy. All of our physicians are trained in endoscopic sinus surgery.
